SELENIUM HETEROCYCLES XXXX [I] SYNTHESES OF 4- (2-PYRAZINYL) - 1, 2, 3: SELENADIAZOLE AND 4- (2-PYRAZILYL)' - l,2,3- THIADIAZOLE

Abstract:

Reaction of thionyl chloride with 2-acetyl-1- benzenesulfonylpyrrole semicarbazone (6 c) gave 4 - (1- benzenesulfonyl-2 - pyrrolyl) - 1, 2, 3 -thiadiazole (lc). Selenium dioxide oxidation of 2-acetylpyrazine semicarbazone (10) in acetic acid afforded 4- (2-pyrazinyl) - 1, 2, 3- selenadiazole (4). Reaction of thionyl chloride with compound 10 gave 4- (2-pyrazinyl) - 1, 2, 3- thiadiazole (3). Base catalized decomposition of 4 afforded the cis-fulvene 13. Similarly, reaction of 3 with a base gave the corresponding cis-fulvene 11. Heating compounds 11 or 13 gave respectively the corresponding trans isomers 12 or 14.

Synthesis and Leishmanicidal Activity of 1-[5-(5-nitrofuran-2-yl)-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole-2-yl]-4-benzoylepiperazines

A series of (5-nitrofuran-2-yl)-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole-2-yl derivatives 6a–6e have been synthesized and screened for in vitro anti-leishmanial activity against the promastigote form of L. major. The structure of Schiff bases were confirmed by 1H NMR, IR. Screening results indicate that all of the designed and synthesized final compounds (6a-6e) significantly reduced the viability of promastigotes ...

5-[1-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-2-nitrobutyl]-4-phenyl-1,2,3-selenadiazole

In the title compound, C(19)H(19)N(3)O(3)Se, the selenadiazole ring is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.001 Å). The heterocyclic ring makes dihedral angles of 50.2 (2) and 76.3 (9)°, respectively, with the meth-oxy-phenyl and phenyl rings.

Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Some 2-[(4-Substituted-Phenyl-3-Chloro-Azetidin-2-One)-5-(2'-Methylamino-4-Phenyl-1', 3'-Thiazolyl-]-1, 3,4-Thiadiazoles

A new 2-[(4-substituted-phenyl-3-chloroazetidin-2-one)-5-(2'-methylamino 4-phenyl-1', 3'-thiazolyl-]-1, 3, 4-thiadiazoles, 5(a-n) were synthesized from 2-substituted-benzylideneamino-5-[2'-methylamino-4'-phenyl-1',3'-thiazolyl]-1,3, 4-thiadiazole, 4(a-n) using 2-amino-4phenyl-1, 3-thiazole as a starting material. The synthesised compounds have been screened in vitro for their antimicrobial acti...

5-[1-(4-Methylphenyl)-2-nitrobutyl]-4-phenyl-1,2,3-selenadiazole

In the title compound, C19H19N3O2Se, the selenadiazole ring is roughly planar [maximum deviation 0.033 (6) Å]. The attached phenyl ring is twisted away at an angle of 47.5 (1)°. The butyl group is in an extended conformation [C-C-C-C torsion angle = 174.7 (2)°]. In the crystal, C-H⋯O inter-actions form C(10) chains running aling the c-axis direction.

4-(4-Chlorophenyl)-5-[1-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-methyl-2-nitropropyl]-1,2,3-selenadiazole

In the title compound, C(18)H(15)Cl(2)N(3)O(2)Se, the selenadiazole ring makes dihedral angles of 49.87 (3) and 55.70 (3)° with the two benzene rings. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 11.90 (5)°. In the crystal structure, intra-molecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Se inter-actions and inter-molecular C-H⋯O, C-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯N inter-actions are observed.
